Integrations Overview
How SOCI4L connects with extensions, embeds and external apps.
SOCI4L is more than a standalone website. Several integrations let you bring profiles and donations into other environments where your audience already spends time.
Browser extension
The SOCI4L Donate extension:
- Detects supported X (Twitter) profiles that link to a SOCI4L page.
- Renders a Donate button directly on those profiles.
- Opens the same donation flow used on soci4l.net, powered by the
DonatePaymentcontract.
See the Extension Donations docs for full details and privacy notes.
Embed widgets
SOCI4L exposes lightweight embed widgets that you can place on external sites:
- A Donate widget rendered via an
<iframe>at/embed/donate/[id]. - The widget shows a compact card with a call‑to‑action and opens the main site in a new tab when clicked.
Embeds are useful for CVs, personal websites and portfolio pages where you want to accept donations without redirecting visitors through multiple steps.
SDK and API
For developers who want to integrate SOCI4L data into their own apps:
- The SDK page explains the roadmap for a typed, read‑only client library.
- The API Reference (Preview) page outlines current, unofficial read‑only endpoints and stability expectations.
These tools are intended for read‑only use; write operations (such as updating profiles or links) remain inside the main app for now.
Future integrations
As SOCI4L evolves, additional integrations may include:
- Deeper embedding of profile cards in third‑party dashboards.
- Cross‑chain or cross‑platform identity bridges.
- First‑party components for frameworks like React that wrap the underlying widgets.
Any new integration will continue to respect the same principles: non‑custodial value transfer, transparent fee models and clear user consent.
