Send AVAX donations through supported X (Twitter) profiles using the SOCI4L browser extension.

In addition to the Donate button on SOCI4L profile pages, you can also send AVAX donations directly from supported X (Twitter) profiles using the SOCI4L Donate browser extension. This makes it easier to tip creators where you already follow them, without leaving X.

What the extension does

The SOCI4L Donate extension:

  • Detects when you are viewing an X (Twitter) profile that has a verified SOCI4L link.
  • Shows a SOCI4L Donate button on that profile page.
  • When clicked, opens the same donation flow you would see on soci4l.net, allowing you to send AVAX through your wallet.

The extension does not store balances or process payments itself. All transactions are handled directly by your wallet and SOCI4L’s on-chain DonatePayment contract.

How donations are processed

When you click the Donate button in the extension:

  • The extension opens a donation UI powered by SOCI4L.
  • You choose an amount and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  • The payment is sent on Avalanche C‑Chain through the same DonatePayment contract described in the Platform Donations docs.

This means the core rules are identical:

  • Minimum donation of 0.01 AVAX.
  • 3% platform fee to the SOCI4L treasury.
  • 97% of the amount goes directly to the creator’s wallet.

You can verify every donation on a block explorer just like donations made on the SOCI4L website.

Privacy and data usage

The extension is designed to be privacy-friendly:

  • It only operates on X (Twitter) profile pages to detect supported profiles and render the SOCI4L donate button.
  • It does not track your browsing history, collect personal information, or store user data.
  • It reads only the public page content needed to find SOCI4L links and show the button.

When to use the extension vs. the website

You might prefer:

  • The website Donate button when you are already on someone’s SOCI4L profile or sharing a profile link.
  • The extension Donate button when you are primarily browsing X and want to tip creators directly from their X profiles without navigating away.

In both cases, your donation ends up in the same place (the creator’s wallet) and uses the same on-chain infrastructure and fee model.
